The Teddy Bears class is the younger preschool classroom
comprised of three-year-olds. We have a weekly theme based on the
seasons, holidays, and celebrations. In addition, we have a Christian,
Bible-based curriculum every month. We incorporate the theme into
the classroom materials used in both the teacher-directed and children-directed
activities. We plan activities according to the children’s
interests and skills.
Our curriculum provide a wide variety of activities that help children
grow cognitively, creatively, physically, socio-emotionally, and
spiritually.
Our goals include:
• to develop literacy and cognitive skills
• to enhance creativity
• to improve gross motor and fine motor skills
• to promote socio-emotional skills such as independence,
responsibility, problem-solving, and discipline
• to learn about God
We believe that children learn through play and social interactions.
We encourage establishing good relationships and building strong
friendships founded in respect for others.
We also have special activities such as Sulphur Creek Nature Center
Visit, Hayward Public Library Reading Time, Kid Fitness, and Chapel.
We implement a well-balanced child growth and development. With
these in mind, we value that each child is unique in his or her
own way.
