Greetings!
Mrs. Gerard, Mrs. Alip, and I enjoyed sharing with you on Thursday evening. Thank you, not only for your attendance, but also your interest and support! I know we threw a great deal of information your way, but it will become clearer as the year progresses. Remember to communicate if you are unclear about anything.
FIELD TRIP: We have several field trips planned this year; our first is scheduled for Wednesday, September 22 at the McConaghy House, which is on Hesperian next to Kennedy Park. We will leave the campus no later than 10:15 a.m., have lunch at the park, and return about 1:30 p.m. Please return the permission slip promptly.
BIOGRAPHY: The notes on the first page of the biographies are due next Monday. Reminders: students are to write notes about your memories, share interesting and exciting events, and enjoy the experience! Keep the interview packet in the special folder at all times. We will be sending the rough draft of the biography home occasionally to make sure the information is correct. Start thinking about photos we can include in the biography. Make copies to send in.
SPELLING: A few students did not study for their spelling test. Only nine students had perfect scores. I know we can do better!
LANGUAGE TEST: Third graders have a test slated for Friday. We will encourage students to take their language book home every day this week. Your child should be able to tell you exactly which pages they need to study.
